Olympic Stadium Platform Ahead Of Schedule 11/03/2008

The 2012 Olympic Games stadium is three months ahead of schedule it was announced yesterday. Sir Robert McAlpine has announced the £500 million main stadium will be started at the end of May. The construction on the Stadium platform will be started first. The construction platform will be worked on at the same time as the podium level is created. Using recycled crushed concrete from other parts of the site, the project has been heralded for its efficiency.

The revolutionary stadium design which will be able to hold 80,000 people will mark a new turning point for stadium design. The area is being leveled into a platform for the stadium some parts of which will be nine meters below the surface.
