New Genie Design At Conexpo 12/03/2008

Genie have been busily adding to its family of rough terrain telehandlers with a new machine showcased at this years ConExpo and a host of machines that were released for this year. The redesigned GTH 1048 and GTH 1056 rough terrain telehandlers have been developed with compact maneuverability while maintaining the reach and lift capacities on the Genie telehandler models. The new developed models are geared towards the heavy loads end of the construction site like steel and bricks. The Genie telehandler GTH 1048 and GTH 1056 model come with maximum lift capacity of up to 10,000 lbs. The GTH 1048 has an outreach of 31ft and is capable of lifting 6,000 lbs to an impressive 48 ft. The Genie GTH 1056 features an outreach of 40 ft and lifts 4,000 lbs to over 56 ft, making these models ideal for framing, heavy construction, masonry and industrial sites.

The compact aspect of the machine comes with an outside turning radius of under 14 ft and features three different steering modes, crab, co-ordinated and front wheel. This allows the machines to have easy access to tight places or on busy construction sites which dont have much swing radius. The GTH 1048 and GTH 1056 also provide increased safety and stability with twin axle mounted stabilizers and a frame-leveling chassis, which allows operators to make side-to-side adjustments on slopes with an 10degree side. The rough terrain Genie telehandlers also feature a break-over ground clearance of 20.5 in which means the operator can position the machine exactly where it is needed. The Genie GTH 1048 and GTH 1056 model come with spacious and ergonomically designed cabs that provide great productivity and endurance for the operator.
