Jungheinrich New Electric Pallet Stacker 11/03/2008
Jungheinrich recently launched a new electric order picker/stacker Kombi onto the market. The Jungheinrich pallet stacker is controlled by a state of the art intelligent control system. The range of EKX models are designed for the future requirements for warehousing and logistics. Some of the new design innovations are the RFID floor control, residual capacity plus which increases overall capacity of the range. The Jungheinrich pallet stacker range also comes with major improvements in performance, efficiency and safety. The new electric order picker/stacker or Kombi pallet stacker is a high rack stacker type EKX 513-515 with a haul capacity of up to 1,500 kg. The truck has a lift height of over 14 m and due to its 80 Volt 3-phse AC technology fits into the top end of the narrow aisle warehouse sector. Jungheinrich uses its modular system for greater flexibility which is at the center of the new Jungheinrich pallet stacker design. The new machine comes with an intelligent truck management system with TUV-certified control and Can-Bus technology that provides several safety features.
The truck can be made adaptable to specific customer applications with the RFID floor control system that is linked to the floor topology and adjusts speed profiles to particular floor conditions in narrow aisle warehouses. The truck has also got improved safety technology which includes special transponders that help functionality such as permanent distant measuring. This innovation means that information on the topology of the floor can be stored into the truck memory which can then be used to adjust the speed and control parameters of the truck. This means that the information can be transferred from the master truck to other trucks used in the same narrow aisles using a USB stick. The Jungheinrich pallet stacker can go up to speeds of 12 km/h and includes the pioneering 3-phase AC technology.
