Upright Celebrate Successful 2007 16/02/2008
UpRight platforms reported that they ended 2007 with a highly successful first year. UpRight closed out the year by showcasing their newest UpRight platforms and aerial work access platforms at the UK construction show SED 2007. At the construction show targeted for the construction and aerial work platform industry, UpRight rolled out its Big Blue is Back campaign to celebrate the successful first year. The Tanfield Group that acquired the aerial lift division of UpRight International in June 2006 has been enjoying great success re-branding UpRight to UpRight Powered Access and fully launching it into the industry with the Big Blue is Back campaign.
In anticipation for a high demand for the re-launch, production facilties were moved to a larger space, a 250,000sq ft facility in North East England. The facilities were well needed after demand increased ten-fold in the past ten months. Since the take-over UpRight platforms has created 150 new jobs at the Vigo Center facility and is still recruiting and training more positions for the company as it prepares for the third phase of its increased production. Sales and Marketing Director for UpRight, Richard Tindale said off the move that the order book has grown directly in line with the increase of our global network of independent distributors. UpRight platforms has made a huge step into the aerial work platform industry with the number of access platforms in the UpRight revived range more than doubling to over 20. The company is also on target to have a full line of products in production by the beginning of this year. As well as the facilities in the UK, UpRight has also seen success re-launching the company in the US and already started production on three major product lines. In Fresno, California the assembly facility is manufacturing the MX19 micro-scissor lift, the TM12 mast lift and the full UL range of personnel lifts.
